Spring has well and truly sprung! And with it comes so many possibilities of plants you can get started this month. First things first, I’m going to share with you everything I sowed last month, as all of these can still be started in April if you haven’t gotten them going just yet.
Seeds I sowed in March:
Start indoors
Wild violets
Echinacea
Dahlia
Cosmos
Sunflowers
Tomatoes & tomatillo
Peppers
Aubergines
Cucumbers
Start in seed trays (in a cold frame, greenhouse or polytunnel)
French marigolds

Peas (protect from mice!)

Salad onions

Purple sprouting broccoli

Chinese cabbage
Cauliflower

Beans - french & runner (end of month)
Direct sow

Carrots
Radish
Aztec broccoli

That might seem like a super long list but of course, they’re all optional! Feel free to pick and choose what works best for your space, and what excites you the most.
Pro tip: it’s always a good idea to stagger your sowings so you get continuous harvests throughout the year, and don’t overwhelm yourself with too many seedlings all at once!
